Adolescent inpatient program overview

The Adolescent Acute Inpatient Treatment Program at Options Behavioral Health is designed for young people, ages 11 to 18, who have been engaging in substance abuse, have become addicted to alcohol or another drug, and/or are experiencing certain co-occurring mental health disorders. A typical stay in the Adolescent Acute Inpatient Treatment Program is three to 21 days.

We also complete a thorough discharge plan for each adolescent who receives care at Options Behavioral Health. By the time a young person is ready to transition home or to his or her next level of care, we will have produced a comprehensive discharge plan that will detail his or her progress while in treatment, will note issues of concern or areas that merit continued focus, and will identify the professional referrals and other sources of support that will be necessary for the young person to continue the progress that he or she made while in our care.
