Adult intensive outpatient program overview
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Options Behavioral Health System provides therapy and support services to adult men and women ages 18 to 65 who have been struggling with substance abuse, chemical dependency, and/or certain other mental health disorders. As the least intensive of the three levels of treatment (inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient) that Options provides, IOP is ideal for individuals who have completed a higher level of care and can benefit from step-down support to facilitate an effective transition home.
Individuals who participate in IOP with Options will complete three hours of treatment three times a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays) for a total of nine weekly hours of care. Typical stay in IOP at Options is four to six weeks, though the specific time that any individual will remain in the program will be determined according to his or her needs, progress, and treatment goals.
As is the case with all levels of care at Options, IOP features clinically sophisticated care provided in a warm and supportive environment where all are treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The professionals who provide treatment in IOP place a premium on establishing and maintaining close relationships with patients and their families in order to ensure that each person who heals with us receives the focused attention that will empower him or her to achieve successful long-term recovery.
