Program Overview

Overview of the adolescent intensive outpatient treatment program at Options Behavioral Health in Indianapolis, IN

The adolescent intensive outpatient treatment program at Options Behavioral Health in Indianapolis, Indiana, provides therapy and support services to youths ages 12-17 who have been struggling with substance abuse, chemical dependency, and/or certain other mental health disorders. As the least intensive of the three levels of treatment (inpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient) that Options provides, IOP is ideal for adolescents who have completed a higher level of care and can benefit from step-down support to facilitate an effective transition back to independent living.

Adolescents who participate in IOP at Options will complete three hours of treatment three times a week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30-7:30 p.m.), for a total of nine weekly hours of care.

Typical length of stay in IOP at Options is six weeks, though the specific time that your child will remain in the program will be determined according to their needs, progress, and goals. As is the case with all levels of care at Options, duration of care and other treatment-related decisions are made according to what’s best for the patient.

The adolescent IOP at Options features clinically sophisticated care provided in a warm and supportive environment where all are treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The professionals who provide treatment in the IOP place a premium on establishing and maintaining close relationships with adolescents and their families in order to ensure that each youth ages 12-17 who heals with us receives the focused attention that will empower them to achieve successful long-term recovery.
