Male adolescent residential program overview
At Options Behavioral Health, male children and adolescents who need comprehensive psychiatric services can receive this care in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF).
Instead of an intimidating hospital-like environment, our 28-bed center is a warm and supportive residential setting where compassionate professionals provide the highest quality of care to male adolescents who meet the following patient profile:
- Ages 11 to 21
- MMR, DDR, or on the autism spectrum
- IQ in the 50-75 range
In order for a young person to be admitted to Options PRTF, he must meet the following criteria:
- Has been treated in an inpatient program within the previous six months
- Did not meet treatment goals in an outpatient program within the last 12 months
- Has been diagnosed with a severe mental illness and/or multiple co-occurring disorders
Clients do not require a court order for placement to be admitted to our program, as they can be placed by their parents or legal guardians.
